Community Awards

A quarterly Awards Ceremony in March, June, September and December, recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations who exemplify our twelve Words of the Month, so that their stories may serve to inspire us all.

Youth Leadership Conference

Character and Ethics Christmas Float with CE Kids ridingThis unique annual conference in October is the signature event of The Character and Ethics Project. It brings together high school students with business and community leaders in open discussions focusing on ethics and leadership.

Alternative to Suspension Program

This monthly Saturday class replaces detention duty for suspended high school students - to learn about honesty, integrity, responsibility and compassion.

Sports Accord Program - "Pursuing Victory with Honor"

This program aims to have an enforceable code of conduct in our sports programs - for coaches, players, fans and parents using our sports facilities.

Character Education in Our Schools

The "Word of the Month" program based on our 12 "Guiding Principles" assists educators build strong character in the classrooms and on the playground.

Art Calendar

Students K through 12 submit their work that represents each Word of the Month, in an annual competition for display in a full color calendar, sold by various organizations and businesses.

Business Awareness

Office and retail businesses are invited to display (in English, Spanish or Armenian language) The Promise of Character and Ethics Project in their business locations, to raise the consciousness of character and ethics among employees and customers alike. Employers are also invited to sign The Promise with their employees.

Newsletter

A monthly email update of various events and programs to spread the message of character and ethics. It includes quotation(s) focused on the month’s character trait and inspiring discussion topics and ideas for building character in the classroom, boardroom and family room.

Character Education in Our Schools

Working together with Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) and local schools, we provide resources and training programs that help educators build strong character in the classrooms and on the playground. Teachers emphasize the "Word of the Month" based on our 12 "Guiding Principles": respect, honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty, courtesy, self-discipline, integrity, fairness, responsibility, cooperation, citizenship, and compassion.
